Bringing you the same esthetic of beauty, uniqueness and fun that we loved so much about our fabric store Santa Fe Fabrics, here is The Button Bird. Each item is picked by me (Nancy Arnold) personally. I bring you what I love, and hope you do too. 

Thank you for supporting button makers, many of whom have small workshops and create by hand, and for up-cycling vintage Japanese fabrics so that their extraordinary beauty lives on. 

We are online only - no retail store.  Our mailing address for returns etc., is Button Bird, 347 Bridge Place, West Sacramento, CA 95691.

Shipping within the US: We ship from California. We endeavor to ship within 3 working days of your order and if we can't, you'll hear from us shortly and you are welcome to cancel your order. 

$4.00 flat rate shipping for any U.S. order up to $50.00 with normal 4-7 working day delivery and free normal delivery for orders over $50. If you need a rush order let us know and we'll do our best.  We do combine shipping as long as we haven't already shipped. 

International Shipping: We ship to almost everywhere in the world. Usually the shipping cost you see as you check out is accurate, but if not we'll let you know right away if we need to adjust up or down. You will be responsible for any customs and duties imposed by your country when your order arrives in your country; we have no way of anticipating those costs in advance. It may take from one to eight weeks for your order to arrive. These timeframes can vary drastically and are out of our control. 

Shortages: Occasionally the website is wrong on inventory count, for instance if the bolt was short, so if we don't have what you order, we'll let you know immediately and together come up with another plan such as a refund, wait until we get it again, etc.  

Payment: Our secure website accepts most credit cards and PayPal.  If you have any problems checking out, please let us know and we can do a phone order for you. Occasionally older phones, browsers or laptops struggle with newer websites like ours. If this happens, let us know please!

Discounts: Are you a business, professional designer or artisan using your ButtonBird purchase to re-sell to your customers? Let us know; we may be able to discount your purchases. We'll do our best. Larger custom orders are sometimes possible, so talk to us and we'll help if we can. 

Returns are allowed within 30 days on most items if you have not sewn, washed, cut or changed it. We are a very small business with limited resources, so if we cut your fabric from the bolt, your return may be subject to a re-stocking fee.  Please contact us for return instructions.
