Thin and light for wool, a bit heavier than silk, a traditional weight for cool-weather kasuri kimono in Japan. The ikat shapes are pale blue and classic pink, in long rows through the bolt. In between there are thin slashes of two or three white, blue or pink streaks, and crosswise black streaks. The background is cool charcoal gray. Being a true ikat, the back looks just the same. This wool has a bit of body and a typical wool feel; more coarse than soft. Great color combination. 14" wide, sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one continuous piece from the excellent condition vintage bolt. 100% Wool. Japan. Stunning and hard to find.
