Black/Gray/Red Rustic Handwoven Kasuri Ikat Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan by the Yard # 819

This rustic silk true ikat is smoother and finer on the front, with more white showing on one side; both sides are gorgeous, interesting and full of character.  True red, with black and white combining to visually create gray.  Thin and light, soft, supple, with a bit of body. It feels smoother than it looks; the hand, weight and feel is a bit like yukata cotton. The slubs are smooth, especially on the 'front'. The back is slightly more textured and rustic. 14" wide, in excellent condition from the unused vintage or possibly older, bolt. Handwoven. Sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one piece to the length you order. 100% Silk.  Japan.
